Curly Whirly!

Simple effect created using the whirl and pinch filter. Just wrote the small letter 'l' a few times then applied the effect, and YO! This was too easy to believe!

Path-o-logy

Was dabbling about with the paths tool , layer opacity and a little bit of gradients for about 20 mins. And this is what happened.

Fencing

Created fences using the paths tool. And i reused the clouds from my previous lightning and thunder image. This time, I experimented a bit with the opacity settings of the layers.

If you're seeing this pic, tell me whats wrong in it. I still feel that something is missing. Cant figure out what. Maybe ill get it with more practice. But hey, i'd be glad if you could point out something. Don't be too harsh though. I am just learning here.. Aaargh.. what the hell, .. ok you can be harsh.. Just let me know what can be done to make this pic better.

Thunder and Lightning

Okey, I said that i'd do lightning, but instead I landed up doing it along with thunder. It looks a bit flawed. But the clouds are pretty good.

Reflection

Created a reflective text with. Somehow, I find it pretty amusing to use the Map->Bumpmap. The effect that it produces on the text is pretty awesome.

In  this case, it produced a meaty effect. Looks Yum to me. And I kinda like the shrek like color. I still need to figure out how to do a proper reflection, however this should do for a start.

Red Lightning

I was just going through a tutorial for creating lightning. And here's my take on it. Ok, I was a bit lazy on  polishing it. But I did get to learn a bit about the colors menu in GIMP. And something about the burn and dogde tool as well. Maybe ill try to create a glassy blue lightning and see how that works out. Here's the red one for now.

Bleeder

Created some bleeding Text. Used the curves tool and the Lighting and shadow tool.
Oh, and a bit of the bump tool as well.

Smoothie

Created some smooth looking text using the curves tool with the alpha channel.

Then gave it a little bit of drop shadow so that its not too bland.

Weird Lines

My Second experiment with GIMP. Learnt how to use the Paths tool while making this. Awesome tool, i'd say.

3D-fying my name

This being my first experiment with GIMP, I tried to 3Dfy my name. Learnt a lot of stuff along the way. My name looks pretty awesome in 3D, doesnt it? lol.. Well, it does, at least to me.
